Purpose:

The Civil/Structural Engineer will support the successful delivery of civil and structural projects by reviewing design submissions, ensuring compliance with project specifications, assisting in constructability assessments, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal teams. The role ensures high-quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review structural drawings, reports, and specifications submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct constructability reviews during design and modification stages.
• Coordinate and communicate comments from the Engineering Manager to consultants and contractors.
• Attend technical meetings with consultants, sub-consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• • Review proposed materials, design alternatives, and change requests to optimize quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• • Assist in tender processes, including reviewing tender documents, responding to bidder clarifications, and participating in pre-qualification of contractors.
• • Collaborate with project document controllers and QA/QC engineers to maintain proper documentation and records.
• • Support problem-solving on-site and in design to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design, construction, and coordination.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with local and international standards, codes, and best practices.
• Strong technical knowledge in civil and structural engineering principles.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to civil/structural design and documentation.
• Familiarity with ADNOC procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations is highly desirable.
