Senior Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract)

Purpose:

To lead and deliver high-quality post-contract cost consultancy services, ensuring effective cost control, accurate financial reporting, and robust contract administration across assigned projects. The role is pivotal in supporting the Client with commercial decision-making, variation evaluations, claims analysis, and maintaining contractual compliance, thereby contributing to the successful financial delivery of projects.

Job Descriptions:

  •  Manage post-contract cost consultancy services across assigned projects
  •  Review and recommend contractor/consultants payment applications
  •  Prepare and present monthly cost reports to the Client including accruals
  • Evaluate and manage variations and provide commercial assessment
  • Support Client with cost estimates, accrual reporting, and claims analysis
  • Coordinate with project teams and client representatives to ensure financial accuracy
  • Contract management, drafting and administration
  • Experience in handling EOT Claims, reporting to Clients and issue recommendation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Cost and QS consultancy (from Consultant Side) with strong exposure to post-contract stage activities.
  • Proficient in cost reporting, interim payment certification, variation assessment
  • Familiarity with project cost control and cash flow forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, contract drafting/management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • MRICS or working towards chartership
  • Proficiency in Excel and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX)
